It seems to me that there is always a right answer and a wrong answer when it comes to wine ... the good news is that the right answer is always the same ... the customer is always right! Wine is completely subjective and one person's perfect pairing may be another's caustic combination.

Establishing CCFW gives me the opportunity to fulfil a long held desire to present a list of wines that are entirely chosen on merit. Whilst we import a number of wines, there are none that we are tied to purchase on long term contracts. Every year therefore we give ourselves the arduous task of sourcing what we believe are the best examples of the flavours and styles we wish to list.

Almost as important as maintaining a completely independent buying policy is providing the breadth of choice that satisfies our customers' tastes. Thus our mixed cases are independently created on an ad hoc basis for each customer. Those who prefer to receive more red than white are catered for. Those who dislike particular grape varieties are listened to.

Our list provides you with some help and advice by way of the informative descriptions that have been written for every single wine listed. We are always available to discuss any wine in further detail. My hope is that you will take the opportunity to use our experience and your experimentation to establish your own thoughts on how, when and with what to best consume each vinous gem.

In what is still a relatively youthful period for the company I hope that our clients and those interested in finding out more about us will find us approachable.
