A soft and accessible blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet that has been aged in one and two year old oak in order to ensure a structured wine without being over tannic or over-oaked. A wonderful rounded purple/ruby colour. It offers a well rounded and full fruit nose. The taste is dominated by black fruit flavours and there is a good fruit, acidic and tannic balance. The product of a wonderful vintage the 2000 L'Enclos was aged for 10 months in new oak. The blend is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet. Only fruit from selected parcels of land are used in this cuvee. There is a well rounded and full fruit nose that contains traces of cedar wood box and tobacco. The mouth is a succulent dream of black fruit flavours and has wonderful balance.
