The Perez family have an advantage over many of their peers by being self-sufficient, their grapes come from their 150 ha of high altitude vineyards near the wine town of Quel. Their Crianza Blanco is made from 100% Viura, cold fermented, then aged 6 months in new American oak. It is a full lemon yellow colour. There is a delicate harmony of toasted almonds, lime and grapefruit on the nose. The palate offers a dry pleasing acidity, with vanilla backed by long and persistent fruit flavours on finish.

Literally quite phenonmenal. The complete lack of formal training that 28 year old Joan has received is more than made up for by the fact that, as he says he "spends 10 months in the vineyards and 2 months in the cellar because great wine comes from great grapes and not great hands". A blend of 70% Garnacha Blanca, 20% Picapoll and 10% Pansal, the wine is fermented in oak and then aged in new French allier barrels for 6 months. It has an enticing nose of pineapples, grapefruits and clean oak; it has a full and buttery palate with concentrated flavous; it has good balance and acidity and, it has a long lingering finish. It's got it all.
