Summary of Principal Terms and Conditions


1. Prices. Prices are quoted per single bottle and include V.A.T. and duty. The rates of V.A.T. and duty as well as the foreign currency exchange rates used were those prevailing at the time of uploading. Prices are therefore subject to change should these rates change.

2. Availability. All items listed are offered subject to availability.

3. Age. In order to buy any alcoholoic beverage from Cameron Cavendish Fine Wines Limited, you must be over the age of 18 years.

4. Payment Terms. Purchases will be available for release within three days of receipt of cleared funds. Payment can be made by cheque drawn on an UK bank account or by electronic transfer to our bank.

5. Title. Cameron Cavendish Fine Wines Limited will retain the title of each item supplied until payment has been made in full and sums due under any other contract have been paid for in full. We reserve the right, if full payment has not been received by the due date, to resume immediate possession of any or all of the goods supplied.

6. Breakages and Shortages. These must be legibly noted and signed for on the delivery document and the name of the recipient clearly written on that document. The consignee must also separately notify such shortcomings to us in writing within three days of the delivery date. Damaged articles must be retained for inspection or until the claim is settled.

7. Non-delivery of goods. We must be advised of any non-delivery in writing within ten working days from the date of the invoice.

8. Delivery charges. Deliveries with mainland England are FREE for orders of 36 bottles or more. Deliveries of less than 36 bottles or to other destinations will be charged at cost. No charge is applicable for goods which customers arrange to collect from the storage facility.

9. Goods lying in bond and Shipments ex-cellars. Our wines and spirits are stored at the HM Customs Bonded facility provided at Unit 9 Warehouse, Thames Road Industrial Estate, Silvertown, London, E16 by London City Bond Ltd. We shall be pleased to provide quotations for goods that can be made available to customers both 'under bond' and 'ex-cellars'.

10. Storage & Insurance. We shall be happy to arrange the continued storage of goods purchased from us. A Private Reserve in our client's name will be set up within our account at our storage facility. Charges will be calculated on a per-case basis. Customers will be contacted at the start of each calendar year and asked whether they wish to remove or to continue to store their wines. Insurance cover (to replacement value) is included in the storage charge which is currently: £8.50 (excluding V.A.T.) per case per year.

11. Variations. Any variation in these terms and conditions will be valid only if agreed in writing.

12. Application. These terms and conditions shall apply to each sale made by us and shall form the contract between the purchaser and ourselves.
